Michelle McKinney — artistic director and founder of Dance Vision got her start in nearby Vancouver, Washington. Michelle trained intensively in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap. She went on to further her dance education by training at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, California, and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Michelle is a passionate believer in continued education, and stays at the top of her field through workshops and professional study.

The Dance Vision dream was born in 1992, when the first Dance Vision location was opened in McMinnville, Oregon. Since Dance Vision’s inception, Michelle has had the opportunity to touch the lives of dancers from all over Oregon and Washington- helping to instill grace, poise, and self-confidence, as well as inspiring and developing technical excellence.

Michelle has been an accomplished and recognized instructor and choreographer. Her students have been selected for renowned scholarships to the Edge Performing Arts Center and Broadway Dance Center for the last 13 years.

Michelle, who was featured in Dance Teacher magazine earlier this year has also received countless choreography achievement awards, both regionally, and nationally. She has been recognized by LA Danceforce, NYC Dance Alliance, Co. Dance, and American Dance Awards. In fact, Michelle has been the recipient of the only choreography award given by Co. Dance for the last three years. Additionally, Co. Dance has recognized her by awarding her the “Best Educator Award,” in 2003. NYC Dance Alliance awarded Michelle’s choreography with the Critic’s Choice Award in 2003, the Class Act Award in 2004, and the dance company with the best sportsmanship in 2005.

Erin Cheney — has been dancing since she was three. She received her advanced training in jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop at Dance Vision with Michelle McKinney. After high school she moved to NYC where she was on scholarship at Broadway Dance Centers Professional Program under the direction of Wes Veldink. She worked with choreographers such as Jeff Amsden, Calen Kurka, Chis Hale, Michele Assaf, Erica Sobol, Jessica Hendricks, Jason Parsons and Mandy Moore. She performed in the Dumbo Arts Festival, HATCH,Choreographers Carnival, Enfocus, Coming Out, Broadway Dance Centers Showcase and Atom and Eve. She assisted and performed at the Calabria Arte Danza Festival in Tropea, Italy.

Lisa Sundstrom — is a professional dancer with over 20 years experience from corps de ballet to principal roles. Known for expresiveness, lyrical quality, musicality, dramatic and technical abilities. Teaching and coaching experience all levels of dancers, specializing in advanced concepts. Expertise in choreographing and staging of original work in addition to well-known ballets including a full length Nutcracker . She has taught professionally at Pacific/Portland Festival Ballet, Portland OR (2007-09), Pacific Ballet Academy, Mountain View, CA (2003-06), The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA (2000-03), The Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, Philadelphia, PA (1997-2003). Lisa's Principal performances include, Swan Lake (Odette/Odile), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), Giselle (Giselle), Coppelia (Swanhilda), Cinderella (Cinderella), Don Quixote (Kitri-Amour) and many more. Her Public Television "Dance in America" performances include, "Baryshnikov by Tharp" (Push Comes to Shove), "American Ballet Theatre at the Met" (Les Sylphides and Paquita), and "La Sylphide with Pennsylvania Balleet" (as Effie).

T.J. Yale — originally from Portland, Oreogn is a highly respected dancer and choreographer. he began dancing at the age of fie and is trained from Portland, L.A. and New York in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, African and hip-hop. One of TJ's first highlights as a performer was having the privilege of performing tap with Gregory Hines. he was part of the WNBA Portland Fire Dancers and later part of the NBA Portland Trail Blazers Hip-Hop Squad, both as a performer and as a choreographer. T.J. has also choreographed for Jefferson Dancers, Dance West and Detail in Portland. T.J. moved to New york two years ago to further pursue his professional dance career. His recent credits include: Kodak "Express Yourself Commercial"; 2007 Latin Grammy Awards at Madison Square Garden; and Spot Date Performances with recording artists Melissa Ejmenez and Lloyd. In 2007 T.J. went to Stockholm Sweden to perform in the Acme Fashion Show with Jonte, who is a recording artist he dances for. In 2008 T.J. was a part of Saturday Night Live with Guest host Labron James. Currently T.J. is part of "Rhapsody The Company."
